Second Grade Class
Dear Parents,
It's hard to believe we are in the third marking period already. Students are working hard in class!
Math:
We are currently working on regrouping in subtraction with making double changes. We are working on counting money. Please allow your child to make small purchases to help teach counting change. At school we are working on counting snack money in the lunchroom.
Reading:
We just finished a story called "The Three Whales." This story is based on a true story. This month at the theater the movie called "The big Miracle" is based on this book. It might be a fun movie for the whole family to see. Your child can compare and contrast the movie with the story read in class.
Religion:
Students will be doing the readings for the February 16th mass. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will take place in May. Further updates will go home regarding dates and times.
Special Events:
The students may bring valentines, however no food items are permitted. February break will be February 20th-24th.
