Third Grade

Welcome to Mrs. Borowski's Third Grade Class !

      I have been teaching at Ambrose Catholic Academy for thirteen years. During my time here I have taught sixth, fifth, fourth, and third grade and have enjoyed working with the students.

  An outlook throughout the year:

Religion:  Students are learning about the importance of the Eucharist, parts of the mass, baptism, faith, saints, and prophets

Math: skip count, estimation, shapes, time, money, statistics and probability, problem solving, multiplication, and graphs

Science: plants and animals, plant and animal life cycle, solar system, weather and climate, environment, magnets, matter, health science

Social Studies: Civilizations, Communities Around the World, Citizenship, Government

Reading: decoding, fluency, analyze word structure, cause and effect, read independently, book reports

ELA: writing process, essays, nouns,  pronouns,proper nouns, adjectives, verbs,

During the month of April we are working on

• multiplication and arrays

• water cycle

• contractions , possessive and plural nouns

• Plymouth 

• Jesus' suffered, died, and rose for our sins

• creating comic strips in reading
