THE SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM
School lunches are subsidized by the state and federal governments to help schools keep the cost per lunch low so students can participate in the program. You can apply for free or reduced meals anytime during the school year. We can send an application to you, or you're welcome to pick one up at the school office. A new application needs to be filled out every year, and turned in As Soon As Possible to avoid any meal charges. If your children are eligible for a free or reduced lunch they can also have a free or reduced priced breakfast everyday!!
A Good Start
Did you know that breakfast is the most important meal of your child's day? It provides the nutrients and energy they need to concentrate in school. Research even shows that kids who eat breakfast get better grades, pay more attention in class, and behave better. Help your child begin their day on the right foot.
FOOD ALLERGIES
If your child has an Allergy to a certain food, a doctor's note must be submitted to the school. We ask that you advise your child of the foods that he/she cannot have, we will also advise our staff of your Childs allergy. PLEASE NOTE: We are NOT a peanut free school.

We offer a variety of healthy snacks daily that range from $.10-$1.00
some are as follows:
pretzel rod-.10, goldfish cracker-.25, curious george fruit snack-.25, small icecream sandwich-.25, small fruit juice slushie-.30, fruit by the foot-.50, gushers-.50, various chips-.50, various icecream-.50, large fruit juice slushie-.50, icecream cookie-$1.00.
We will keep track of the payments you send in and purchases your student makes. The breakfast and lunch purchases will automatically be deducted from their account. To put money on your child's account, send in cash or check to the cafeteria. Please include the students name, grade and teacher. We do not accept payment during lunch, lunch must be prepaid. If you choose to send in money daily, your child must give it to his/her teacher in the morning. If paying by check, please make it payable to: Ambrose Catholic Academy. Checks returned for insufficient funds will be charged the $25.00 bank fee.
